2025 was a year of growth, collaboration, and renewed ambition for the global FEC community. Our network expanded across regions and disciplines, our youth and early‑career programs reached new heights, and our partnerships helped advance coastal sustainability at global science–policy interfaces.

This year’s report highlights:

• New leadership appointments and the launch of our Latin America International Project Office

• The Meta‑Network Initiative’s first survey and in‑person meeting, strengthening cross‑scale coastal collaboration

• Youth engagement reaching nearly 300 participants across Asia and Oceania

• The Building Future Leadership program’s transdisciplinary training—from mangrove restoration to AI bootcamps

• New affiliated activities and a new working group connecting mangrove researchers across four continents

• Global outreach through a photography award and exhibition, reports, the Mega-Delta conference, and contribution to the UN Ocean Decade and the UN Science Decade

• A communications reach of more than 80,000 people worldwide

None of this would be possible without the dedication of our partners, Fellows, early‑career professionals, and the broader coastal community.

• 新增多项附属活动，并成立连接四大洲红树林研究者的新工作组；

• 举办摄影奖与展览、发布研究报告、深度参与大河三角洲会议，以及通过对联合国“海洋十年”与“科学十年”的持续贡献，进一步提升了全球影响力；
